Idukki: Kerala court sentenced on Wednesday, a 40-year old man to a total of 51 years in prison for raping her 17-year old stepdaughter at their home in Munnar in 2018.
Smiju Das, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP), said that Devikulam Fast Track Special Court POCSO judge Sirajudheen P. A. sentenced the accused for offenses under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), and the IPC to various jail terms totaling 51 years.
The court also fined the convict Rs 1.55 lakh, which will be paid to the victim.
