Brian Conley, actor and comedian, joins Jason Plato and Dave Vitty to discuss his career as well as leaving EastEnders on the award-winning Fuelling Around podcast.
Conley, a UK TV mainstay for more than 30 years, has his own comedy series and has appeared eight times on The Royal Variety Performance.
The 62-year old sat with Plato & Vitty and discussed what it’s really like to work on the BBC One soap opera and his feelings about leaving.

Conley expressed his amazement at the newly refurbished set for the Albert Square program, including the electric car charging stations.
“About two years ago they completed the new set, it took them eight years, but they rebuilt a complete set,” Conley explained.
“The original one has now been knocked down, and the new Square is a quarter of a mile away. When they rebuilt it they put in electric points for cars, but it’s all real.
“It’s wide enough now because that was an issue that they did struggle with getting two cars around the Square, or once the other cars were parked up, so they made it bigger.
