Tom Jackson is the pathfinder for the Mars Badminton Horse Trials, which will take place next month (8-12th May).
Tom will be number one in the Farndon draw, while his British squad horse, Capels Hollow Drift from last year, is near the end as number 80.
The favourites, Ros Canter and Izilot DHI, are number 53 so – with 82 horses drawn – are likely to do their dressage on Friday morning.
Oliver Townend has entered two horses for the Badminton Horse Trials, so only one can start. Cooley Rosalent is in the USA this week to compete in the Kentucky Three-Day Event, so it’s unlikely that she will be starting at Badminton. The world number one is expected to ride Tregilder, the ninth horse (although it’s possible that he won’t be able to compete as he only has one intermediate run in this year), and Ballaghmor, his best chance at a second win here, as number78.

Kirsty has entered both Classic VI and Opposition Heraldik Girl. Both appear in the draw (numbers 44 and 43), but Classic VI was also played in the USA, so it appears that Opposition Heraldik Girl won.
