The difference between crew and owners is as pronounced as the contrast between day and night. The one who lives the dream is the crew. Aaron Fidler purchased his 136 foot (41.4 meter), Palmer Johnson yacht. AK Royalty In 15 years, he went from being a chief engineer to a superyacht-owner in 2022.

“I had quick career progression as crew and traveled the world,” Fidler says, his mirrored sunglasses glinting under the Dubai sun. “But I soon realized I didn’t want to be scrubbing decks on somebody else’s boat. I wanted my own.”
