First build and my first boat

If you want to build something nice, do it yourself. I’ve always wanted a yacht but could never afford one or transport it. Last summer I decided to build my first boat. It was finished after 400 hours of labor and many new woodworking techniques. It is beautiful! I now own a Rangeley Cedar Strip Lake 15′ boat. I purchased the plans through Newfound Woodworks, but milled and sourced all my materials myself. The boat sports a cedar hull, ash keel, mahogany seats, ash & keel gunnels, and custom cast bronze oarlocks. It gets comments every time I go out.
The Rangeley Rowboat glides over the water and floats as if it were a dream. The place I like to row is a large reservoir near me with a calm river connecting it. This allows me to row through turbulent open waters, windy rivers, and countless underwater tree branches.
