Cornish Crabbers appoints liquidator


A liquidator has been appointed by Cornish Crabbers, a yacht builder in Cornwall. The appointment follows a meeting of creditors convened on March 13th by Peter Thomas, the Managing Director.

The Wadebridge-based group, which specialises in the design and manufacture of glassfibre gaff-rigged sailboats and powerboats, reportedly owes over £1 million in bank loans and taxes and other debts. Crabbers are still popular, but the market for small boats is tough.
The London Gazette, the official government journal of record, published a notice on 15 March: At a General meeting of the Partnership above named, duly convened at One Courtenay Park Newton Abbot Devon TQ12 2HD, on 13 March 20,24, both a Special and an Ordinary decision were passed:
