Lover, a 2024 Tamil romantic comedy starring Manikandan Priya and Sri Gouri, has been hailed as one of the best films of the past year. The film was able to impress audiences despite being up against major releases such Lal Salaam, Yatra 2 and others.
Since its theatrical release in 2012, rumors have been rife about a possible early OTT launch. But the filmmakers have remained silent about any plans for an online premiere. In a recent announcement the OTT release date and streaming platform of Lover was revealed.
Disney+ Hotstar is scheduled to premiere Lover in March. The streaming platform teased the fans on March 12 with a sneak preview of Lover, captioning, “Love is Battle. Love is War. Love is Growing up!” ‘LOVER,’ arrives on March 27, on #DisneyplusHotstar.”
The romantic drama produced by Nazerath Pailian, Mageshraj Pacilian, Yuvaraj Ganesan, under the banners Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment will be available to stream in Tamil and Hindi.
