HyderabadThe GHMC decided to implement a mobile-based biometric facial recognition system that is powered by artificial intelligence to manage attendance in its sanitation wing. The corporation currently uses a system that captures attendance by authenticating biometric fingerprints using Aadhaar enabled biometric hand-held devices. “The current system is being removed due to complaints of its misuse by sanitation wing workers,” a GHMC official said. The AI-based software will be used by 25,000 sanitation, entomology, and veterinary workers.
