The X-Bolt has a double bedding. It is important to have a barrel that can float freely. The X-Bolt SF’s free-floating barrel is perfect due to double bedding i.e. The barrel/breechblock assembly should be positioned at two points in relation to the forearm: at the front and the rear.
The bolt-unlocking key works in conjunction to the safety and provides an added level of safety. The bolt can open without having to remove the safety.
The barrel has been threaded to allow for the attachment of a muzzle brake or sound moderator at the barrel’s end.
