Pattycake is here. She’s a one-year-old beauty abandoned by her family. Her biggest quirk? She hates cats. Even their smell on me! In many ways, she’s a typical Tortie, which means she’s smart, opinionated, and stubborn. Some people call this “tortitude,” but I’ve learned from experience that “you can’t judge a cat by her colors.”

Pattycake is with me in Florida, and I’m trying to find her a second chance with an experienced cat adopter who has no kids at home. Her story breaks my heart. She was brought into the house by a family when she was a tiny kitten. Pattycake was dumped outside after the daughter moved. Neighbors cared for her for more than a year but started getting annoyed because she’d run inside when their doors opened. All she wanted was her own home!

Technically, with so much white in her coat, she’s a Tortico, and like her Tortie cousins, she’s got a mind of her own. So we’re looking for an adopter who can deal with her sometimes feisty nature.
