Baglietto’s commitment to increasingly sustainable and green yachting is making headway with the Italian yacht builder actively engaged in pursuing and driving the energy transition in this sector. In this spirit, the La Spezia shipyard has partnered with Siemens Energy and CGT to create a new hybrid interposed propulsion system that will soon be installed on hybrid yachts from Baglietto.

The interposed powertrain is a significant step in the research of the shipyard into environmentally friendly technologies. The system, which was recently bench-tested and found to be successful, will be fitted on hybrid propulsion T52 yachts and DOM 133 boats starting in 2025. The new system can also be mounted on vessels that use Bzero’s hydrogen-based technology. All components have already been supervised, verified, and certified by the Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.
