Vijayawada: AP Election Authorities are awaiting a revision of the order of the Election Commission of India in regard to Jana Sena’s allotment of Glass Tumbler as a symbol.
This development comes after the High Court on Tuesday dismissed a complaint challenging the allotment to Jana Sena of the tumbler logo.
JS receives a huge relief when it comes to the allotment. As it is not yet a recognised or registered party, Jana Sena candidates will only be able to use the Glass Tumbler in the constituencies where they are running for elections.
Glass Tumbler symbols can be given to other candidates who are not running in the same constituency as Jana Sena.
ECI assigns exclusive symbols only to political parties that are recognized by ECI.
