Anglers Journal podcast: The Trossett family

Anglers Journal Editor Charlie Levine, who has been a long-time partner of the magazine, was invited by Suzuki Marine to Key West, Florida to fish with Trosset’s family, after the Miami Boat Show. Capt. RT Trosset, a Florida Keys fishing guide since the mid-1970s, has guided clients to 239 IGFA records using conventional and fly-fishing gear. He was a pioneer in the fishery, and now his sons Robert, Chris and are following their father. The captains of these boats all have different businesses, but they are all parked next to one another at Ocean’s Edge Marina. The men start the day together and talk on the radio as they are out on the water. They end the day where they began. We wanted to feature this unique family dynamic on our podcast. We talk to the three captains in this episode and find out about their families’ legacy and Key West’s abundant fishing.
