Julia introduces fortnightly gardening tasks and projects underway

Preparing for the long holiday weekend is ideal. Spending quality time in the gardens, and investing wisely in bountiful rewards.

The garden and propagation teams are now at full speed preparing for the year ahead, full of the joys of spring –bright eyed and bushy tailed. I’m cherishing this moment as, by May, we will be more wild-eyed and frazzled no doubt!

Dr Chris Gibson is a wildlife expert who has helped with the descriptions of plants on our website. Beth did an excellent job of describing the plants. I’m always happy when people use our website for reference.  So, we thought as well as having Beth’s lovely words, we could add information about the wider benefit that each plant brings to the world around us and other creatures that inhabit it.  It’s a mammoth task but Chris has been diligently tapping away and you will see that this wildlife information is making its way onto the site. This information will hopefully help you to make more informed choices about what plants to include in your garden.
