April 9 to 17 2024 Seven different Shaktipeeths are celebrated across the country. The event, organized under the Kala Pravah program, is meant to revive temple tradition in the country at the auspicious Navratri season.
Inauguration of the event and venue
- The Shakti utsav will be inaugurated at the Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati in Assam, on April 9, 2019.
- After the opening, the festival is organized into the following Shaktipeeths.
- Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati (Assam)
- Mahalakshmi Temple, Kolhapur (Maharashtra)
- Jwalamukhi Temple, Kangada (Himachal Pradesh)
- Tripura Sundari Temple, Udaipur (Tripura)
- Ambaji Temple, Banaskantha (Gujarat)
- Jai Durga Shaktipeeth, Deoghar (Jharkhand)
- Shaktipeeth Maa Harsiddhi Temple, Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh)
- The festival concludes on April 17th, 2024, in Ujjain.
