HYDERABADA Telangana High Court two-judge bench ordered that the Hari Hara Dharma Kshethra Ayyappa Alaya Adilabad committee be pleaded as a party in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe & Justice J. Anil Kumar was examining a letter that 23 children had sent to the Chief Justice, as part of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The letter alleged that there were illegal encroachments and constructions in the children’s park at the old housing board colony in Adilabad. A land mafia and miscreants encroached on the land and built a temple. The temple committee also filed a writ before a single Judge, alleging that municipal authorities in Adilabad had interfered illegally and obtained a status-quo order. The bench on Friday merged the PIL with the writ and ordered the registry to provide material papers to temple committee.
