What is the average monthly water bill? Most people pay around a hundred dollars a month. What if you paid almost ten thousands dollars per month for water you could not use? What if you are blamed by the water company rather than admitting that there was a mistake?

Jeff Raw, who runs Revive Construction Group that builds residential houses, will run the company in 2022. Raw has built and renovated in Atlanta for the past 20 years. The Department of Watershed Management installed a water meter on one of Revive’s property, which at the time was an empty lot without any house or structures on it.

After the DWM installed a water meter, Revive was billed $8,899 a month. The outrageous bills continued to be charged for five months. They eventually reached a total amount of $29666943. Revive, however, denies any water usage during the initial five-month period. After the water meter connected in February of 2023, the monthly water bills dropped to only $13.12 when the meter was finally installed.

Revive contests the previous balance of $26,669.43. Revive appealed this decision and the DWM refused to adjust the bill. The Board alleged that Revive…
