The Future Landscape of Industry Power: Diesel and Electric

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last decade there’s a good chance that you’re at least somewhat aware of the concerning state of the diesel industry, especially when it comes to aftermarket parts. If you’re living under a rock I would say that the EPA will have made its way into any Sunday morning conversation over a coffee.

It’s no secret that the world of diesel is changing. The world of diesel continues to evolve, from the increasing regulations of various alphabet agencies, to the more stringent hurdles that OEMs must jump through. I believe this will continue in the coming decades. C.A.R.B. C.A.R.B.

I’m not sure what this means for the performance industry, but I do know this: In the face of some of the biggest challenges come some of the greatest triumphs, and I think there’s a lot to learn here. Although electric trucks might not be the best solution, the diesel-hybrid world has a lot of potential. Edison Motors, for example is on the leading edge of what I can only assume to be the next generation mid-duty and heavier-duty diesel trucks.

Regardless of what happens, one thing is for sure: We’ll be here right alongside you guys. Navigating the ever-changing landscape of the diesel industry is just a small part of what we do here at Diesel World mag, and we’ll continue to do just that.

Until then, we’ll keep doing what we’re doing—covering cool trucks with great build stories, and working with kick a** companies that embody what the diesel world is really about.

Next one is catching you
