Cajun Pork Chops Over Linguine
It makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- Salt kosher 2 teaspoons
- Black pepper, 1 teaspoon
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons blackened seasoning*
- 2 tablespoons of bacon grease
- 4 (8-ounce) pork chops (about 1 inch thick)*
- Prepare 1 (16-ounces) package of fettuccine according to the instructions on the package
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 large shallot finely chopped
- 1⁄4 cup red wine, plus more if needed.
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh mushrooms, 8-ounce package
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy whipping Cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan, plus extra to garnish
Instructions
- Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder in a small bowl. Add the blackened seasoning. Pork chops should be dried with paper towel. Season the chops evenly with the mixture.
- Heat a large skillet made of cast iron over a medium heat. Heat bacon grease until it melts.
