Daily Wire’s analysis of recently released data shows that Joe Biden has given up criminal prosecutions against illegal immigrants crossing the border.
Biden has brought the prosecutions to a screeching halt. In 2018, the Department of Justice formally charged 84,000 individuals with illegal entry. The total number charged with this misdemeanor during the entire three-year period from 2021 to 2023 was 11,000, according to a Daily Wire analysis of Department Of Justice data — only 4% of the old rate.
Illegals who return to the country once they’ve been deported commit a felony. In 2019, DOJ charged 27 000 people with this crime. In 2023 the number of people charged with this crime was roughly half, at 14,000 The decrease is even more impressive when you consider that the number of illegal crossings have skyrocketed.
