HYDERABAD: On Monday, the two-judge Telangana High Court panel comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe & Justice J. Anil Kumar allowed the withdrawal a writ against Zoroastrian Club. Keki Irani had filed a writ against the Zoroastrian Club and police. A single judge dismissed it earlier. As the panel heard the appeal, the appellant was reminded of his multiple lawsuits. Shireen Baria, Zoroastrian Club’s Counsel, appeared before the panel and pointed out that many litigations had been initiated by the appellant. In the writ of appeal, the appellants claimed that the police interfered with civil disputes between club members. The club, on the other side, pointed out numerous cases in which the claim of appellant had been rejected. Counsel specifically called the attention of the court on the High Court’s finding that the petitioner was not a tenant at the property in issue.
