America’s Cup Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand launch their AC75


After the first AC75 launch in this cycle, America’s Cup Defender Emirates Team New Zealand has also given a sneak peek of their AC75 before its official launch.

Last weekend saw the unveiling of the first America’s Cup boat of this cycle as Alinghi Red Bull Racing revealed the boat they will sail in the 37th America’s Cup later this year. Now, just a few days later, America’s Cup Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, has also shown their AC75 launching it and stepping the mast ahead of their official launch and naming next week.

The Kiwis took their boat from the shed at Wynyard Point in Auckland on Thursday, April 11, 2024. “It is always a pretty significant moment for any team. The first time their race boat emerges from the shed and sees the light of day.” said Emirates Team New Zealand COO Kevin Shoebridge.
