Yoga Class Etiquette
Here are some guidelines for etiquette to help you, and your fellow students, get the most out of your yoga sessions.
If you adhere to these guidelines, you will find your yoga practice becomes deeper and more meaningful. Some teachers have a quiet voice, while some are loud. Others are relaxed, or cheery. You will find a yoga class and teacher you like, but the following recommendations apply to all classes.
Arrive on time
First, allow yourself ample time to arrive at class and set your mat.
Ideal is 10-15 minutes before class. If you don’t allow enough time, you may find yourself feeling rushed. This is especially true in winter when you need to remove several layers.
When you settle on your mat, it will help to centre you.
