The Vanquish Products VRD Carbon Kit is our very first competition level platform brought to life by some of the industry’s most experienced designers in the RC rock crawling segment. VRD Carbon Kit features an all-new Lightweight Spec transmission and updated F10 portal axles that are inspired by competition. This makes it a very competitive, predictable and flexible platform. The VRD Carbon Kit has a matte finish pair of 3mm thick carbon fibre frame rails attached to a 6 degree flat skidplate. The skid plate and molded chassis components are designed to place the VFD transmission at the lowest possible level in the VRD chassis. First time, the F10 Portal front axle has a servo and 4-link. Weighted brass tube weights have been added to both the front and rear axles, in addition the the front alloy knuckleweights.

Chassis

Vanquish Products VRD Carbon chassis are equipped with new molded components which provide a platform that can be adjusted to suit the most challenging terrain. The minimalistic front/rear bumpers and multiple shock mounting positions make it easy to mount and fit the body. Stamped aluminium rock sliders offer a flat surface for mounting electronics and/or batteries, and they can protect and support the body.

Drivetrain

VRD Carbon Kit features a new lightweight VFD transmission. It is equipped with aluminum motor plates and standoffs made of lightweight machined aluminium, but the VFD tunnel has been removed for a more performance-oriented look. VFDs are equipped with lightweight chromoly gears and aluminum bearing plates. Each internal gear was redesigned in order to reduce the overall weight while maintaining durability. The T-Case is equipped with a built-in 21% overdrive.

With the VFD overdrive, the front F10 portal axle is equipped with overdrive portal gears. The rear F10 portal axle is equipped with standard ratio gears. Each axle is equipped with brass weighted tube inside, in addition to the portal knuckle guards on the front axle. This is the heaviest F10 axle, keeping the center-of-gravity as low as possible while balancing the weight forward.

The VRD Carbon Kit contains the Incisions S8E shocks, with hard-anodized shock body and multiple length tuning rod end for a final range of lengths from 85 to 95mm. With the new Incision Pro M4 forged rod ends, the chassis is connected to the axles by heavy-duty stainless steel lower suspension and lighter upper links. The rear lower link is bent to maximize breakover clearance. Multiple mounting locations for shocks and adjustable shock length allow a large range of ride and breakover adjustments.
