EXTREME HEAVY DUE UPGRADES

The Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit, which comes pre-installed with Raptor R, is designed to endure the punishment caused by high-power brushless motors. Made from our toughest cold-weather material, Raptor R’s driveshafts and suspension components are beefed up with extra material and overbuilt construction to form a nearly indestructible driveline.

CLIPLESS BODY MOULDING

High-flying stunts and 60+mph desert speed runs won’t upset Raptor R’s tough clipless body. The locking tabs secure the body, but can be released in seconds to allow access to the chassis. Raptor R’s hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.

INNOVATION

MOLDED SCALED DETAILS

Raptor R is the benchmark for scale detail, with injection-molded pieces for increased realism. Unique front and back bumpers seamlessly integrate with the body, giving it a sleek look. They also provide strong impact resistance. The Ford lettering is boldly displayed on the deep-set grille, which also features replica marker lamps. Complete the package with tough side mirrors, an hood vent and a rear-tailgate panel.

Larger Diameter BFGoodrich® Tires

Oversize BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A® KO2 are 5mm taller than standard Slash tires to replicate look and stance of the full-size Raptor R’s meaty 37″ treads. The replica Ford option wheels with beadlock trim feature the same 2.2″ outer and 3″ inner diameter as conventional short course truck wheels.

Sculpted body reinforcements

Raptor R’s clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, Raptor R’s body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.

Impact Absorbing Bumpers

Raptor R’s front and rear bumpers look as good as they perform. The bumpers feature Traxxas Tough construction and LED lighting. The truck will have a menacing look and feel.

Steel Turnbuckles, 4mm

Raptor R utilizes the same 4mm steel turnbuckles as Slash 4X4. The included wrench makes it easy to adjust the camber and toe with the flat sections. The fully captured rod ends take a beating and won’t pop apart during rigorous off-road pounding.

Ultra-Shocks

Dual X-rings are used in Oil-filled Ultra Shocks to ensure a smooth performance and a perfect seal. Large oil capacity and rugged construction absorb big jumps and abuse off-road for smooth driving. With a variety of oil, springs and pistons available, they are easily tuned.

Extreme Duty Suspension Components

Raptor comes with an Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit installed to ensure maximum durability and strength. All of the shock towers and axle carriers, C-hubs and steering blocks, are made with our toughest composite. They have been further strengthened by adding more material.

Fixed Gear Adapter

The Fixed Gear Adapters eliminate the guesswork in setting up your gear mesh. Even with the hardest landings, gear mesh remains tight due to the fixed position. With just one screw, the innovative motor mount secures the Velineon Motor firmly and easily.

Velineon Motor 3500

Failsafe 5-Channel Receivers

The TQi 2.4GHz wireless radio system allows you to store up to thirty different models, allowing for a single transmitter that can be used to run your entire RC garage. The receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral in the event of a signal loss and hold the last steering position.

Waterproof Receiver Box

Raptor R has a compact and waterproof receiver to reduce weight while maintaining a high-tech, clean appearance. The antenna wires and servo wires are neatly routed through a watertight seal that is patented to protect the receiver. Raptor R will be ready to go in any weather!

Chassis Nerf Bars

Side nerf bars protect the chassis and its components from rock impacts. The side nerf bars also offer impact protection and provide support for the body during door-to-door racing.

Digital High Torque Waterproof Steering Sero

Raptor R’s extreme 60+ mph speed and quick reflexes require a steering servo that’s both strong and fast. The digital high speed, high torque servo includes ball bearings to ensure precise control and fast reflexes.

Modular chassis

Raptor R’s all-new modular chassis features front and rear bulkheads that remove easily with just a few screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you’ll have full access for easy service and adjustment.

Optimum-Geometry steering with integrated servo saver

The dual-bellcrank pivots on rubber sealed ball bearings to provide smooth movement in the worst conditions. The cam-type servo protector integrates into the steering system to protect the servo gears against crash impacts.

Heavy Duty Suspension Arms

Molded from our toughest composite material, Raptor R’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking—even in cold weather! These suspension arms can handle anything from 10-foot ramps to skate parks. They will keep you entertained behind the wheel.

Progressive Rate Springs

The springs have a lighter rate in the beginning of their travel range to help maintain stability and traction over small bumps and ruts. The springs tighten when you hit the big jumps to avoid bottoming out the chassis.

Rubber-sealed Bearings

Precision rubber-sealed roller bearings provide the best in low friction performance in dusty environments. They can be found in every exposed location on the truck. They require little maintenance.

Torque-Control Slipper Clutch

Raptor R’s patented slipper clutch design uses semi-metallic friction pads and a finned aluminum pressure plate to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The slipper is easily adjusted without disassembly or removal, and the unique 3-pad design is proven tough in Traxxas’ most powerful vehicles.

Large 32-Pitch Gears

Designed from the start to handle big brushless horsepower, Raptor R’s 4X4 driveline uses a rugged spur gear with large 0.8 module/32-pitch teeth for reliability no matter how much power you pour on.

Extruded aluminum driveshaft

The aluminum drive shaft is made from a single piece and is lightweight. Internal splines are directly attached to the input shafts on the front- and rear-drive assemblies. The shaft runs true and straight, ensuring a very smooth driveline.

MAXX®-Duty Driveshafts

Raptor R’s huge-diameter driveshafts and upgraded U-joints are built to handle extreme Velineon® brushless power with ease. For unmatched strength, the large 6mm wheels are paired with steel hexes.

Sealed Steel Gear Differentials

For maximum durability, these proven oil-filled front and rear differentials use steel gears. With silicone gaskets and X rings, you can tune the amount locking action in the differentials.
