RUTLAND, Vt.—A Vermont burglary suspect who led police on a high-speed chase and crashed his truck into two police cruisers, killing a 19-year-old officer and injuring two others, will be arraigned Monday on charges related to the crash, state police said.
Tate Rheaume (20) is charged with grossly negligent operation, and trying to escape, both of which resulted in death. The state police stated that more
charges may be brought. It is not known whether he has an attorney.
Jessica Ebbighausen, a Rutland City police officer, was killed in the afternoon on Friday. The accident occurred when police chased a car driven by Mr. Rheaume who was suspected of breaking into a home. State police confirmed ….
