Seattle Yachts is building the new Legacy 12 Mark II Series, the first edition from Tartan Legacy Yachts. It will be launched at the end of 2024.
In the spring of 2020, Tartan Legacy Yachts was acquired by Seattle Yachts’ Marine Manufacturing Group (MMG). Originally, the Legacy 12 was to be built at the Tartan facility in Fairport, Ohio, but subsequently manufacturing was moved to the MMG yard in Anacortes, Washington, where the company’s Northern Marine’s 57- to 85-foot trawlers are built.
With a length of 38 feet, 10 inches and a beam measuring 12 feet, 6 inch, the Legacy 12 was designed as a compact yacht for coastal cruises, island-hopping and the Great Loop. The vessel has a moderately deep-V hull and is made of vinylester laminate reinforced with carbon fibre and kevlar.
The Legacy 12 comes with a galley up layout at the helm, as well as a cockpit equipped with sinks, an icemaker, or a barbecue.
