Updated Insurance Open Protocol to improve ILS Fund reporting: SBAI

Standards Board for Alternative Investments, in consultations with ILS managers and investors as well interested parties, has updated the Insurance Open Protocol report template and manual for reinsurance-linked investment funds and insurance-linked securities.

It is the goal to improve the standardised templates of reporting for ILS funds, and other reinsurance linked investment strategies. This will allow reporting to be better coordinated with the insurance cycle and provide more detailed information related to stress tests.

Insurance Open Protocol exists since 2017, and has been adopted by several players in the ILS Manager Community.

The objective is to improve transparency in the ILS funds sector by providing a standardised reporting format on ILS strategy performance.
