Embark Education was founded as a competency based school, integrating learning through projects in our Pinwheel Coffee enterprise and co-authored experiences. My own collaborations with a group has given learning a deeply personalized and transformative dimension. In order to help learners explore the courage to inquire, engage and find a sense self, I designed a learning environment with them. The learners are not just the audience for instruction and engagement but also deserve to have a voice and a place to express themselves to target personalized support. They should be able to see what is possible during a project and create more nuanced and eloquent pathways to learning than our adult minds could ever imagine. 

As they finish the final two weeks before winter break, we take a step back to recognize… We take a step back as we wrap up these final two weeks of the school year before winter break to acknowledge…
