Today’s PlayStation Showcase saw Square Enix unveil a squeaky-clean online shooter called Foamstars.
In this new, wacky multiplayer shooter, two teams of four are pitted against each other, using weapons that fire foam. Players can take advantage of the slippery foam to create surfaces that allow them to move at high speeds. Foam is also useful for creating vantage points or shielding yourself and your team from attack. The trailer features a lot of silly weapons, and the game is almost the opposite of Splatoon.
Square Enix promises to share more about Foamstars in the future, but it’s coming to PlayStation 5 and 4.
