The historic federal infrastructure investments, including those made in electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EV), present city and state leaders with an opportunity that comes only once in a generation to transform their communities. Achieving the promise of such investments will require a skilled and ready talent pipeline to build America’s next-generation infrastructure.
To achieve this goal, leaders need to create intentional entry points into the new clean-energy economy for marginalized and underserved populations through equitable workforce creation. To be successful, cities and states must simultaneously address critical workforce challenges.
