Croissant French Bread Loaves have the same crisp, flaky texture as croissants but without the intense time and labor. The buttery goodness is spread out along the baguettes to create a golden brown crust that’s perfect for sharing and tearing.

  • All-purpose flour (for dusting)

  • Line two baking sheets with parchment.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll Yeasted Rough Puff Pastry into a 12×8½-inch rectangle (about ¼ inch thick). Cut rectangle in half lengthwise, creating 2 (12×4¼-inch) rectangles. Holding the short ends of each rectangle, twist tightly in opposite direction twice. Gently pull to elongate it into a tapered shape. Place the ends on a pan and gently pinch them. Repeat the process with the remainder of the dough rectangle. Cover loosely with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm, draft-free place (75°F/24°C) until puffed, 1 to 1½ hours.
