nrakich (Nathaniel Rakich, senior elections analyst): It’s a close call, but perhaps the most ineffectual campaign in the 2024 Republican presidential primary has been Mike Pence’s. The fact that he is a former vice-president has not helped his campaign. In our national polling, it fell from 12 to 6 percent. This is due to Republicans’ ambivalence towards him following his split with Donald Trump.
