The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially recognized BlackRock’s recent spot Bitcoin ETF application. The SEC’s official website shows that the ETF from BlackRock was acknowledged in a section devoted to ETFs submitted during the third-quarter of the year.

The SEC has also acknowledged applications from a few other asset managers. Fidelity’s application, WisdomTreeFunds VanEck Galaxy Digital Invesco USA, and WisdomTreeFunds VanEck were also on the site.

This stage has been passed by Bitcoin ETF applications submitted by leading investment firms such as ARK Invest 21Shares and Bitwise Invest.

The cryptocurrency market has responded positively to this recent development. Market players have collectively shared positive sentiments regarding the update on the SEC’s website.

James Seyffrat a Bloomberg Research Analyst who covers Crypto- and Bitcoin-related stories, appears to think that the market is off to a very good start. “We’re off to the races,” he asserted, adding that Valkyrie Funds’ application is next in line.
