Anglers Journal podcast: Fishing on the Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is the best place to catch giant black marlins weighing over 1,000 pounds, also known as “granders”. Each year, giant marlin migrate through the region and Capt. Tim Richardson has been fishing in these waters as the owner of Tradition Charters since 1989. It is the most exclusive offshore fishing in the world. Richardson specializes on multi-day fishing trips. Anglers can fish for marlin all the time and then spend the night on their boat, which is anchored at the edge of the coral reef. Richardson discusses the history of Cairns’ big-game fishing, his large fish and his love for marlin.

Capt. Tim Richardson talks about his experience of fishing for giant black marlin on the Great Barrier Reef with the Anglers Journal Podcast.
