KEF, a renowned British brand of speakers, has today launched the LSX II LT. It is a lower-cost version of the LSX II wireless speaker system which received a prestigious award. Sound & Vision Top Pick for 2022 due to its outstanding performance and versatility.

The new LT iteration looks identical to (and is the same size of) the original LSX II speaker but has a streamlined set of features and sells for $1,000/set — $300 less than the original’s current selling price. Both models feature KEF’s W2 streaming platform and the 11th generation of its signature Uni-Q coincident driver, which in this case mates a 4.5-inch magnesium/aluminum woofer with a 0.75-inch aluminum-dome tweeter.

As with the original LSX II system, the LSX II LT can be controlled via the KEF Connect App or a remote handset. It also offers streaming via Bluetooth 5.0, as well as direct access to Tidal (via Wi Fi), Qobuz (via Wi Fi), Deezer (via Wi Fi), Amazon Music, and Internet radio streaming services. AirPlay 2 and Chromecast allow for multi-room playback. This allows music to be streamed over Wi-Fi from mobile apps.

The KEF Connect App includes an equalizer not available through the remote control.
